Space – Object – History

During the artistic creation process, these three important facts, which form a driving power for the artist when they are approached as they are related, display a complicated web of connection.

Space, as its’ features which take in the living being and divide it from the cosmic emptiness, has an abstract meaning beyond the one we are more familiar with, which are buildings, houses and structures we live in. In this context, space borders, as a circled emptiness, inhold the “object” within itself and also make sense of its creation by dividing it from the other elements, while undertaking a task as an isolator. Individuals’ relationship with the objects they use in their daily life in their own living spaces, involuntarily forms important codes of the individual history. Ordinary and complex objects, such as toothbrush, chair, pillow, cellphone, are actually ignored as the factors which witness our lives. Everyday, the history is written again and again, as we are, individually, taking place as shadowy figures in the history of the society we live in.
